Block Target Observation
Well yesterday I went and put down the case for a Block Target, But what I noticed as I was picking one out was the difference between the tightness of the layers in each target. I tried to stick my fingers between the layers of each target to see how tight they really were banded, and what I found was that in a whole pile of about 15 targets that I checked only a scant handfull were acceptable to me. Some it was so easy to get my fingers between the layers that I believe you would get a passthrough on the first arrow you shoot at it. So a word to the wise check the tightness of those layers before you buy one. I made sure I got the tightest one from the pile and found out that without my target you cannot pull the arrow out with 2 fingers like they advertise. It is not tough but you do have to give it a decent tug to get it out. The Dick's sporting goods were I bought my block also had the small and large Black Hole targets and I even checked those and I found exactly what others were finding, that for some reason they are banded much looser than the Block. I also noticed they use thinner sheets of foam than the Block for some reason. Well just thought I'd share this little tidbit of info, But after shooting my block last night I thought it did pretty well, but only time will tell if I get my money's worth out of it I guess.
