you can use gun oil
but.......
Hoppes bow oil is odorless.
and It only takes a drop on the axle at the bushings on both sides.
avoid any type of oil on the string because this will cause serious serving seperation.
what is more inportant as far as lubrication is keeping the string waxed thouroughly what I mean by thurrough is pressing the bow so you can get the wax in between the strands of the string
doing this will pro long the life of the string.
Lik big bulls said bushings dont need a ny lubrication but dont hurt a drop or two every now and then
