Okay, maybe not an epiphany, but I solved my year old tuning problems with one quick turn of the wrench! I have been having inconsistancies with my bow since last fall. I have replaced strings and cables(that needed done anyway) I have replaced all my bushings, I have checked my axles. I have tried different rests, I have tried different arrows.....all with the same inconsistancies. When I was once again checking my string and cable lengths this evening, after a long and arduous attempt at bare shaft tuning, I found the culprit.....that tiny little set screw that keeps my cable gaurd tight was loose! I tightened it and put everything back together. I took that little bow out into the back yard and immediately felt the result....smooth as she used to be and almost tuned! I would have finished tuning it, but I've just started shooting again in the last couple of weeks and frankly I was worn out. I just had to tell somebody as I feel a huge burden has been lifted. My wife just doesn't get as excited about these things as I do!
