RE: LX and the Zebra string ???
The supressors work excellent at first but wear out fairly quick, IME. All 6 Mathews bows I've had with them have developed a groove and the bow started to get noisy within a few hundred shots (even with cam timing perfect). Since they are a covered warranty item, my shop carries plenty of spares, and they would give me a new set whenever the bows started getting noisy on me. No big deal to swap out, and the bow was deadly quiet again. You may just need a new set.
Of course heavier arrows will cut down on string vibration, and thus noise. I shot all my suppressor bows at 5.5 to 6 grains per LB.
However I have noticed the LX & Ovation have more twang than the other supressor laden bows I've shot. The Outback and Icon have been the quietest IME.
