If you are really serious about getting into bow hunting, I'd get the bow now. You'll need the time to get tuned up and practice.
I know what you meen by "needing" a climber too! It is about the only way to hunt in some places. My B-day is in October too, so I usually start whinning early, because if I don't get what I need early, it is too late to tune and practice for our bow season.
