Great report herman. I am trying to get away from my current mentality, that every gun I buy has to have a 350 dollar stock on it and a 300 dollar barrel. I plan to order the ss/syn in a few days.

Power, totally agree, I really liked the older Tikkas. The continental and whitetail was great guns. I understand the business plan they got. If you want good quality, go with the 1000 dollar Sako 75, but if you can't afford that, get a Finnish gun for 500 but still doesn't tarnish the rep of Sako and they get to get into the market share of people wanting a 500dollar or less gun. Very smart.
