Default RE: How to roost turkeys????

Knowing your piece of ground helps here I believe in roosting your birds for a couple of reasons.#1 is because of my preseason homework I already have a pretty good idea where the birds are going to roost if they are there,so consequently i have a pretty good idea of where to listen!#2 and I think this is the most important because I know my property I have a good idea of how to get in and out of the woods 'without bumping the birds'!Walking or driving right into your hunting area during broad daylight tends to'nerve up 'the birds a bit especially walking. At dawn we use the cover of darkness in alot of cases to set-up on a roosted bird to cover our movements but in trying to roost one we dont have that privy so approach your turkey woods with a little more caution and possibly you might be surprised!!
