Ground hunter for $500 you can probably get the Leupold Var X III in 50mm.

The thing I noticed with Leupold and Zeiss rather than Busnell, Simmons, etc if you turn the power up on them the bullet stays in the same place for a true shot. With the simmons, bushnells, and tasco's I have owned, if you turn it up the bullet will be off a little due to the scope. Just my exp. and opinion.
