RE: Lapping scope rings?
Instead of going through the trouble just buy a pair of Burris Signature Series Posi-Align rings. They have an insert that will not allow your scope to be in a bind. I used to have a local part time Gunsmith lap all of my rings and I tried the Burris and these are the only rings I buy now.
