Default RE: late season food

I like hunting thicker areas much more than field edges or open woods. With that being said if all the acorns and mast crops have been eaten already I would look for a current clear or select cut operation. Deer in my area like to heavly feed on the left over tree tops. Especialy with the gun seasons going on or just ending, the deer arent going to be frequenting the open fields for a while yet. I have had good luck hunting these areas even while they are actively logging the area still. After the workers leave the deer start showing up at their normal evening feeding times to browse on the fresh tree tops.
