Champlain I sort of agree with you on the Buck. IMO they are a real bear to sharpen buy once you get a good shaving sharp edge on them they are pretty easy to hone and keep sharp. I made the mistake of showing my guide my knife on a hunting trip for mulies up in WY and spent the next couple nights sharpening his knife and the knives of the other guides.
