I own and use a savage 212, its very accurate with some sabot slugs,
Ive got a 2.5x scope on it and its one of the most effective deer/hog shotguns I own.
a better choice in optics would be a decent red dot optic or green laser,
in my opinion, mostly due to the thick brush areas I hunt
