I have owned Browning Bars for 36 years and I have never had to replace one of those buffers . Never. Its pinned in between 2 metal plates . Its not even a moving part.
It really wouldn't get any abuse unless maybe you are reloading some real heavy high power loads that are slamming into the metal backstop plate..
