I don't consider myself religious (even though I wrote a book about religion), but I have more concerns over "Christianity light" than I do about atheism. Used to live in Northern Illinois, and there was a yuppie church in the area. Had to go once out of curiosity. This "church" was offensive to Christians and atheists alike - festering halfway between genuine Christianity and full-blown materialistic atheism. These "churches" exist all across America and have huge followings. Are they a halfway house to atheism, or true Christianity? Not sure, but either destination is better than the weak, inconsistent self-centered philosophy promulgated by these money pits.
