Default Montana purple heart recipient program

Montana instituted a Purple Heart recipient program a couple years back, in which citizens, both residents and non residents can donate back to the state their hunting and fishing licenses and tags to Purple Heart recipients which are participating thru a organization designed to put on activities for these fine veterans. One such organization here in Montana is Montana Warriors On The Water, (mwotw). In the past few years, mwotw has hosted an annual fishing trip for veterans across the country on Ft. Peck reservoir and upland and elk hunting here in Montana. Earlier this month marked the first event mwotw hosted in which working with the Montana FWP we were able to bring in 2 Purple Heart recipients, 1 veteran from Georgia, and 1 from Idaho, in addition we hosted 3 other veterans who have served this country proudly. There is a short thread on this forum about the hunt and a few pics. MWOTW is looking at hosting perhaps more Purple Heart hunts in 2019 working with the state of Montana to secure licenses for these individuals. I would encourage all veterans and citizens to follow mwotw facebook page, you will be able to see when applications are open for the different events thru out the year. Of course, if you know of anyone who has served, please invite them to follow the facebook page also. MWOTW is a small grassroots organization out of Miles City, 501 (c) (3) doing wonderful things for our service people. One last thing, the facebook page does contain information on helping financially to Montana Warriors On The Water. Thanks.
