Hi ,All Bronco22000 , has it right ,If you want quick results then a perc rifle is the way however if you are interested in getting the best out of a rifle then you could go with a flinter .. the slow ignition seen on most flinters is nearly always due to the owner not bothering to set the rifle up properly that is see that the internal parts of the lock do not rub on the lock plate or other parts , that the touch hole is the correct size that the flint sparks properly and that the sparks fall in the pan are a few of the things that need seeing to and once set up the rifle will have no detectable delay and be as accurate as the shooter wants it to be .. As my old friend Homer Dangler said all a perc rifle has to do is bust a cap .. If you want to shoot out a ways the bigger the ball the better 60 and upwards for both perc and flint ... Rob
