For my price range VX2 or VX3i, which is $250-450, depending on power. Larger magnification range will be more money.
I have never used a Swarovski or Zeiss, are you out of your $1k range with those?
I was thinking of VX3i 4.5-14? for around 5-550. But I can't hunt 300 yards out, it would just be for shooting paper, and someday.
