Hogs have very poor eyesight overall and it's generally their great noses they rely on for safety and finding food. If you plan on shooting hogs after dark that are coming into your corn feeder that you mentioned in your first post on here, I'd seriously be looking at putting a scope on the rifle or setting up a dim light system that is good enough for you to to see, but not bright enough to run them off when they come in. I'd even think of doing both unless you're only hunting them on bright moonlit nights.
