Ron, I was thinking about this. I've gut shot at least 5 Deer with my Flintlock over the years. Everyone of those Deer went right down. Even with a patch and rounball. They only moved when I tried getting closer or shot again. I think even a poor bullet would put the Deer down. I've shot plenty of Deer with XTP'S with good results. So I'm not saying your bullet is bad at all.
