I applaud the op for the purchase of the 7mm mag, love mine and you won't flinch if you squeeze the trigger. Slapping or Jerking the trigger is bad. The other round is viable, my 11 year old grandson shot a pig with the 7-08 this year. . Th 🐷 dropped on the spot.
Don't forget the 280 rem in this mix, it is basically a 7mm -06, provides great options for a reloader.
