Default Remington 700 LSS

The model you picked up is a Model 700 LSS. If the gun is in like new condition they sale in my area (Oklahoma) for $700-$850. These haven't been produced by Remington for the last couple of years. The only model available in .257 WM is the CDL SF which goes for around $939-$999 around here. You can expect what you expect from any Remington. If it doesn't group well I'd free float the barrel and bed the action. I haven't had any Remmy's that didn't respond well to this treatment. Bought my Dad a Weatherby Vanguard Sporter .257 WM a few years ago and once bedded/free floated it's a tack driver with Weatherby factory ammo featuring the 120 gr. NPT bullet. His has a 24" barrel but over my chrony he still gets 3283 fps out of an advertised 3305 fps. I think you have a great rifle so I'd enjoy the heck out of it. I have loaded for my Dad's Vanguard and RL22, RL25, & H1000 are very friendly to the .257 WM & I always used Fed 215 primers in Weatherby/Norma brass!!
