I think meatloaf is one of my favorite ways to prepare elk or deer. It is a great way to utilize some of the tougher meat cuts. I made this recipe with elk, but it would be just as good with deer. For a special little touch, you roll different ingredients into the meatloaf, like basil and sundried tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. It is a good little twist. I have the recipe here:
