Comparing a 45cal 300gr to a 50cal 252gr is a poor comparison at best. Of course a heavier bullet with a higher sectional density will penetrate better.
Are you by-chance color-blind? There's a nice chance the thread-starter can tell the difference. My two links present two different color bullet-remains.
So please compare / check your two eyes, before suggesting my comparison is poor.
