My SSG 69 (.308) with a Kahles 4X12X56, it just does everything well. Had it for forty years, it is part of me, dependable.
With a good rest it will still put the first round through a quarter at a hundred yards, I can usually clover leaf the first three rounds. If I'm having a really good day we'll put the first round through a quarter at two hundred yards. I've got .308 ballistics imprinted in my brain.
One thing I really like about it is the scope mounts, you can dismount the scope and remount it with no movement of point of impact. I've got two scopes I change out all the time. They discontinued the scope mounting system and I sure can't figure out why? If it ain't broke don't fix it.
My second scope is also a Kahles straight 6X42 with a post reticle, I use it for stalking.
