The Nikon XR is basically the new version of the Omega. Five inches of eye relief but as bugsNbows notes, you really do sacrifice some field of view. With the XR you only get a FOV of 8.4 - 25.2 ft @ 100 yds.

Other alternatives are the Vortex Diamondback 2-7x35 (ER of 3.1-3.5" and FOV of 64.3 - 19.3 feet @ 100 Yards) and Nikon Prostaff 2-7x32 (ER of 3.8" and FOV of 9.5 - 33.4 ft @ 75 yds)

A really cool new scope is the Diamondback HP. The 2-8x32 has 4.6 inches of eye relief and a FOV of 12.2 - 41.9 feet @ 100 Yards. Don't know much about it but it looks like a good deal.
