I am using an Armasight Zeus 3 (3x optical) which is a 640x480 resolution thermal scope with a 75mm lens. The view through the scope, as you might imagine, is better than the feed taken off to the little mdvr that is then compressed for playback by Youtube.

I should have gone to 2 times zoom (digital zoom = simulated 6x) and the video would have been better, but at the time looking through the scope, I didn't feel like I needed to use any zoom. In other words, looking through the scope definitely makes you feel closer than looking at the video on the computer screen.
