The remington 700 is a good gun have 2 older 700 bdl in 30/06. Have 8 30/06 all together 6 in remington rifles. A 712,725, 2 760,2 700.hard to bet a 30/06 for a general hunting gun. The 700 mountain rifle would be a good choice.
