I sent a PM to a couple Mods about this type of idea just now.
Rather than having all of this type of thread stored as Sticky's (DIY would swallow up the first page in no time at all!!!), I have seen other forums Gunsmithing sections have a sub-forum (like the one we added in the Small Game section for Predator Hunting Reference) that is dedicated to "Projects".
I think that'd be a great option here to store detailed project threads like DIY's posts all in one place. The main page of the forum would still be open for questions, discussion, technical info, but then all of the major projects for builds, rebuilds, etc could be stored in one "bucket".
Just food for thought. Hopefully the Mod's think it's a good idea too.
