get a climber and learn how to use it. I wouldn't worry about buying and putting out stands till I got a season of hunting under my belt to learn how deer move and wear you see them. Little inconvenient lugging it out and then back but you can hunt in most any area you want with only buying one stand. I really like my summit but they're are other brands that are just as good
