Default Moose in Connecticut

Saturday I was hunting a large piece of property In Northwest Ct with my grandson. We were still hunting to a cutover area about 1/2 mile in. We had stopped for a minute and all of a sudden we heard a racket about 60 yards away, and this Bull moose stands up from his bed! As we are pointing him out to each other at the same time, another moose stands up!

I looked at him with my binocs, too stunned to reach for my cell phone to take pix. I yelled at my grandson to take his out but they were buried in our coveralls. By the time we got them out they had lumbered off into the mountain laurel.

I saw another friend yesterday and told him what happened and he said he has seen 5 walk right under his tree stand in 1 morning!

Estimates from DEP state they think there's 150 or so in the state now. Would love a chance at one some day.
