A friend of mine will, on occasion, use a different cape for a different set of antlers. A couple hunters just recently left their capes out in the rain and another cape was freezer burnt (and sometimes the cape was skinned too short). He first does what he can with them, but if it just won't work out then he subs the cape for another one.
Its hard of the taxidermists when hunters don't take care of their capes and expect the taxidermist to work miracles with them.
