If you need to go farther, you're running from the law or you need to move to a magnum gun. You also need radar. I've hit steel at 1200 yds. Not consistently but with a factory model 110c savage and bushnell scope hit 5 out of 11 times using rem core-lokt 150 gr on a 22'' round target. Could probably do better with a custom outfit and match bullets. But I've had my savage near 30 year, why change when I know what I can do with it.
