And we have all agreed that 5s carry much more energy so one could argue that it give you a better chance to kill that bird at 60 plus. You have both admitted 7s don't have the needed energy. This is not meant to change your minds or argue just trying to show you my original logic and even if you disagree you can at least acknowledge the argument.
If you can get acceptable patterns at 50 yards with Hevi-13 5's then great. The problem is that most folks can't . What 7's add is a much better chance of getting an acceptable pattern with shot that will still penetrate deep enough to kill.
