First of all, you need to know that each state has its own laws and regulations. The rules can be very different in states right next to each other. For example, your daughter can hunt any game here in Michigan, but that's not necessarily true in every state.
You will also likely need a hunter safety course to get a license. You probably already have one in Norway and it would probably be acceptable here. You would have to ask though.
Then you should decide what you want to hunt and what kind of terrain you want to hunt.
