Sorry about your hunt, maybe this will help you latter this year. My father and me have been upland hunting in ellsworth county the past three or four years with great success. Last year we went twice once opening weekend and then I think Jan. or Feb. Opening weekend I think we got 3 phesant and 14 quail. The last time we went up there was like 5 1/2" of snow fall with some good size drifts so we didn't shoot any quail but got five or six phesant if I remember right.
