The property owner has seen them several times out feeding in the fields surrounding the woods. Hopefully they will stay on his side of the property. Going to look for scratch marks, droppings, etc.
Didn't get to go out looking. Some stuff came up I had to do. Was raining pretty hard anyways.

What kind of affect (if any) does the rain & wind have on turkeys and turkey hunting? I know animals like deer and rabbits don't like strong wind and tend to lay low. I think maybe because it's harder for them to detect predators and other threats. If the wind is howling or it's noisy from rustling leaves, grass, etc. then maybe they can't hear a predator creeping up on them or can't scent as well. I figure turkeys might be like that too but wasn't sure. It seems as though most animals and birds don't seem bothered to much by the rain unless it's really storming out.
