One of my longbeards narrowly escaped death this morning. I got out this morning and heard no gobbles. There was someone hunting on the adjoining property in a ground blind. He was on the powerline a couple hundred of yards past my boundary line. At about 9:30 I could see the birds were nowhere around me, so I walked back to the powerline. I looked down the line just in time to see the hunter shoot at and miss a turkey. I saw the turkey fly off. Looks like I still have two longbeards in the area, but with this guy hunting and shooting at them, they are becoming more and more educated. Hopefully when I get back from Texas the birds will still be alive and on my property.
