I really just have to ask, has anyone bit on this yet? I took a look at the survey, based on the questions, it really sounds like you're unaware of the "predator control" systems that are already in place in almost every state in the country. A survey about predator control written by someone that actually understands predator control systems would be composed more to read like, "Are you aware of the predator control methods practiced in your area? Do you feel as if the predator control methods implemented in your area are effective? Are they efficient?", while your survey reads more like, "should someone do something about problem predators or not? Are you supportive of doing something about problem predators or not?". Maybe I'm drawing too deep from a shallow well here, but frankly, it seems like your survey is premature and very biased, and shows it.
I'd also criticize the choice of using a hunting forum to post a survey like this. An online hunting forum isn't an appropriate place to "poll hunters", as the reference sample will typically be EITHER tech-savvy wanna be hunters that spend too much time on the computer and not enough time in the field, OR will be hunters that are typically more passionate about the pursuit than your average "Joe I-gotta-shotgun" (the redneck cousin to T.C. Mits, please tell me they still teach kids about T.C. Mits?). So your reference sample demograph will either be some of the least committed hunters, OR the MOST committed hunters, but not a good representative composite of "average hunters".
If you're gathering stacked cards for a debate, then good on ya, you came to the right place, because you'll definitely find that ALL of us support your bias. BUT, the reality of it is, not many of us really care enough about some random newbie's request to fill out a child-like survey (like myself, who read your post, read your survey, and chose instead to take pot-shots at the premise, rather than filling it out. If I can't waste SOMEONE's time each day, I didn't do my job, right?).
Oddly enough, Predator forums are typically the slowest forums of any hunting sport. About the only time you get a lot of movement is right after deer season when guys are putting the 30cal back in the safe and breaking out the 22 cf's. This forum is without a doubt one of, if not THE busiest predator/small game forums I'm on, and it still only gets a few posts a day (that is, unless someone asks "what new rifle should I get, or 223 vs 22-250, or rimfire for coyotes, in which case, we ALL bite). Most predator forums only get a few posts a week for most of the year... Maybe that's because we're out bagging fur?
