It's been quite a few years since I shot 3D competitively but back then if you used a scope lense then you had to shoot the open class where about anything goes. Competition very tough. Standerd pin sight would be in the bow hunter class. Basically guys shooting same setup they hunt with. I can't recall anyone I know that is using a lense out hunting.
