I usually set my cameras up about 3 ft. This seems to
be about the right height, depending on how far away
you want the sensor set off/picture taken. Somewhere
around 15-25 ft. is a good distance to take pics.

I also make sure my cameras are setup and functioning
properly by taking a picture of myself. I made the mistake
a couple years ago of leaving my camera out for two
weeks with no batteries[&:]....it was in a great
location...during the peak of the rut[:@]. That will
never happen again.
