5:00am - Woke up and got dressed. Loaded the Honda 300 4X4 and picked up my buddy and headed to our hunting location.
5:30-6:05am - Saw a lot of deer on the way to the location. Lots of does and a couple small bucks including a high tined spike.
6:10am - Arrived at the location and took some time to use the bathroom, drink some water, and prepare for the day.
6:25am - Left for the stand.
6:48am - Sitting in the stand with everything ready.
7:25am - Can hear a deer coming from behind, so I remain perfect still untill she appears to my left. I watch her and her little one walk by and browse around for 20 minutes before they disappear into the brush. Durning their time around the stand they knew something wasn' t right. So I knew I had to move the stand. [:@]
7:50-10:00am - Watched squirrels and chipmunks run wild. LOL
10:30am - Got the treestand moved to a new position about 40-50 yards from the old stand location. Returned to the four wheeler and waited for my buddy.
11:00am - My buddy returned with no deer sightings at all. Hmm....
11:15-1:00pm - Shot the bows and ate some lunch. Decided to take a deer if given the chance....
1:30pm - Back in stand again. Ready and waiting....
1:40-2:30pm - Must have fallen asleep????
2:30-4:30pm - Squirrels and chipmunks....
4:45pm - Stand up and stretch. Look around and get ready to sit back down.....get comfortable again and start watching....
4:50pm - Large doe and small doe come down a road behind me and start up the trail that I use to get to the stand. I stand up and get ready.
4:55pm - The large doe smells where I had walked and hops away from my stand. The small doe looks around and stays on the trial. She stops in a opening and looks around.
4:58pm - She turns quartering away so I draw and take my aim...I place the 30yrd pin at the top of her shoulder....the 40yrd pin falls on her rear quarter. She starts to turn away and I release....WHAM!!! She' s hit!!!! She hops off the bank onto the above road and goes down. I hear her crash and can see her kicking.....all this in about 8 seconds...
5:05pm - The large doe is snorting and blowing around. I lower the bow and get down. I walk out to where the shot took place and no blood or arrow???? Hmm....
5:15pm - I go out to where I saw her go down and found her and my arrow.

I guess she was 40 yrds away because I landed a Texas Heart shot that hit both lungs.
6:00pm - I have her field dressed and back to the truck. I mess around for awhile and then go to pick up my buddy.
7:10pm - My buddy comes around the hill carrying a coon??? Come to find out that the coons were tearing down his feeder and one stood there too long. LOL. Pretty good shot with his bow.
7:30pm - Get back to the truck to find out that the neighbors dogs had gotten into the back of the truck and ate the hams off my deer. [:@] I break bad and stomp one of the dogs into the ground but the other escapes.
7:45pm - I give what' s left of the deer to the neighbor, and they do me a favor, and I give them fair warning that the next time....I have a arrow for their dogs. They assure me they will be tied up from now on till the end of season.
Not a bad day overall. Didn' t see the deer I expected, but now I can watch around more for a buck then anything else. I love my new hunting spot and can' t wait to return Monday evening. Should be another good hunt....although I have to find a place for Monday morning...hmm....
I would have posted a pic but I gave the deer away. So I guess the next one will be with a pic.
