Default Time To Think About The New Year

Well guys, Christmas is over and it's time to think about the new year.

I've never been a guy to fall into the old "New Year's Resolutions" trap. That always seemed to be a way to beat yourself up over your failings. I have a hard enough time keeping a new day's resolutions.

But I've been giving a bit of though to a few resolutions for the coming year. The possibilities are endless, so I decided to set a limit of five. After immediately discarding such thoughts as "I resolve to resist the temptation to purchase another gun" or, at the other end of the spectrum "I resolve to acquire at least half as many guns as Cayugad and Mountaineer Magic", I came up with the following.

I resolve to:

1. Completely organize my shooting supplies and miscellaneous “gun stuff” so I can find what I want when I want it. (Good luck with that! )

2. Dig out the parts of that H&A underhammer that are somewhere in the garage and turn them into a gun.

3. Learn to shoot the peep sighted .50 GM/LRH TC Hawken well enough to consistently hit an six inch bull at 200 yards.

4. Spend an entire weekend shooting the .54 Great Plains flintlock over the chronograph comparing loads of GOEX FFg and FFFg with wads and without wads.

5. Never pass a pawn shop without checking out the gun rack.

THIS IS A CHALLENGE TO ALL - give us your top five.
