I have a Browning .338 Win
Husqvarna 3006
And a .311 Can Imp Magnum in a Sako
For Moose 3006 loaded with 180 gr. Speer TBBC or Barnes MRX
are perfect for British Columbia Moose..
Moose aren't difficult animals to kill..
They really aren't hard to kill, they don't have the stamina of Elk.
With proper shot placement, hit in the vitals, and a premium bullet, they pretty much stand there, and fall over before a second shot is required..
Actually I've never had to but a second shot with an 3006 except an insurance kill to the brain before gutting..
Hit the in the wrong place and they will run..
My 3006 with these 2 bullets, dumps them over in one shot..Had 1 Moose
rear backwards and lay dead flat on it's back after being shot with the odd
6.. For a medium recoil caliber, the 3006 is a great moose killer..
