there will probably be more recoil. but i like light guns because i hunt in the mountains so carrying a heavy gun can get annoying fast. if this is for deer i think a 243 would be an awesome ultralight rifle. ive seen a lot of people drop them in there tracks with that cartridge. and with it that light weight it will not kick nearly as much as a .270 i would think.
