I shoot a single pin slider with to settings. 1 @ 25 and the other @ 40. I can shoot out to 30 yards with the 25 yard setting and anything beyond that, I move it to the 40 yard setting. Foer most hunting situations, you should never have to move off the 25 yard setting. I just plain like the simplicity of the single pin.
