He did call me on the land line to talk about his decisions - I did not really go along with his decision totally as I would have gone with the NFPJ-- but the key point as I told him it is your descision not mine or ours + you can always order the gear need to make the other switch.
I really do not, I am just a bit familiar with the two case you are pointing out...
I sure wish I were but no I am not - actually wouldn't mind owning some stock if they sold stock.
Both of you are with to sensitive to what each of you say... Both of you need to move on - it is what it is - and you are both dragging a thread down that has nothing to do with what the thread was about.
Bolts and Plugs
No, Steve they are different... Both the bolt and the BP that go in the Mountaineer will not work in a Extreme and what works in the Extreme will not work in the Mountaineer.
The Extreme uses the old standard combination bolt for FPJ and NFPJ with a primer adapter and uses a newly designed BP for BH compatibilty... Both the FPJ and NFPJ have had modifications to the BP to enhance the ability to shoot and sustain shooting BH.
The Mountaineer requires a different bolt for NFPJ and FPJ + defferent BP's. Both are available from Knight you can order which ever one you want standard with the purchase + you can by the other if you want to have both ignition systems.
I thought some of your questions were directed at me - maybe not - just providing some information...
Nope thats not him. Its a personal friend who relayed that info to me. I did read about that ordeal and I personally would have went with a NFPJ.
