Well it was a great hunt out in Montana with Trophies Plus Outfitters. Mike was awesome & he did his job that is for sure. We arrived on Sunday & I got the SX-1 dialed in the last 6 shots were at 100 yds it pays to have great equipment with the SX-1, Victory Archery VAP Arrows, Vapor Trail Limb Driver & Tru Fire Release that bow can flat shoot. MOnday morning we went to a Rhino Ground Blind that Mike had set in a Alfalfa Field at a fence crossing where they were coming into feed. We had the buck & some does coming in on a string but 200 cows came in and spooked them about 250 yards down the fence so the goats stayed out of range for the day but we had high hopes for the following day. Day 2 We started off in the blind & it was getting light & there were not many goats in sight so I told my Cameraman Mike Vannes I was goign to take a napLOL!!!! Well about an hour & a half after light he said hey man there is a goat about 2 miles away with some does & he looks like he is headed our way & sure enough he was on a string headed our way. They all crossed the fence right in front of us about 40 yds away but the buck trotted by us a little farther out at 47yds I made the shot & the buck went down on film what a hunt. We packed up & went to a place Mike is going to Hunt in WY in Sept to setup Ground Blinds which should be a huge help when he goes back.
It's open Season !!!!
