actually, since the USDA stoped trapping last spring there has been a lot more sightings. I have been after them for five years and this year have seen the most sign/damage. They are spreading, slowly, but surely. They move one mountain closer every year it seems. I took a shot at one while targeting them this winter (the time to get them IMO) but they are so fast and hang out in the thickest cover it is very very tough. I saw a few that have been killed this year, more than ever in the past, I should have had a few. I saw a red/ black/ and a white one. They are escaping from several places and people are capturing the babies and then relocating them elsewhere.
