To be honest, I dont even hang with slugs these days, I use my savage smokeless muzzleloader, 250gr shockwave @ a cronied 2350fps, no sluggun can touch it, and w/ alot less recoil. Ive killed most of my gun deer the past few years w/ it.

Also, check out the book "shotgunning for deer" by dave henderson, great read for shotty users
