I kill them with a longbow. A hog is not a mystical beast. Shot placement is the key. Heck, I shot a 300lber just two weeks ago with a 60# longbow from the ground after stalking it. I shoot them from the ground, from the trees. Have been since the early 80s. I love stalking hogs, they are pretty blind, you can almost walk right up on them, provided there is tall grass and you stay low. They dont see well, but smell very well. Play the wind and stay low. Had a buddy, Rloving good on this forum, shoot one from about 5 feet.

As others have mentioned here, aim low. And if all possible, a quarter away shot is the best, but with your set up, you will have no problem getting a pass through on a broad side shot, if you aim a tad bit low and through the vitals.
